PETALING JAYA – PKR central executive committee member N. Surendran has been dropped as a candidate in GE14.
Surendran, a former PKR vice-president will not be defending the Padang Serai seat which he won in 2013, with PKR deciding to field M. Karupaiya instead.
Teluk Kemang MP Kamarul Baharin Abbas, Batu Pahat MP Mohd Idris Jusi and Wangsa Maju MP Tan Kee Kwong were also dropped.
The party will be fielding Rosman Jonet, Mohd Rashid Hasnon and Tan Yee Kew in the three seats respectively.
Former Alor Setar MP Gooi Hsiao-Leung will now be contesting the Bukit Tengah seat in Penang while former Kapar MP G. Manivannan will be contesting the Hutan Melintang seat in Perak.
Former Petaling Jaya Selatan MP Hee Loy Sian will now be contesting the Kajang state seat in Selangor while former Lumut MP Mohamad Imran Abdul Hamid will be contesting the Bukit Chandan seat in Perak.
The full list of PKR candidates for parliamentary and state seats for Peninsular Malaysia was officially unveiled in a press statement on Tuesday.
