Being 'felt up' at airport riles up Bung Moktar, again

PARLIAMENT Bung Moktar Radin (BN-Kinabatangan) has again complained to the Dewan Rakyat about being "felt up" during airport security checks.
"I've raised this before. When we visit countries that are less developed than Malaysia, we can see they are no longer performing 'raba-raba' checks (patdowns).
"But at the airports (here), the raba-raba is rough and violent. Why are the Malaysian airports still performing raba-raba?" asked Bung Moktar during the debate on Budget 2017.
He said that airports in other countries are employing sophisticated machines for security checks and Malaysia should to.
"I don't like being felt up. I don't! The ministry should take note of this and discuss the matter with the Department of Civil Aviation," he said.

His views was supported by Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud (Amanah-Kota Raja) who said that the pat downs were akin to "sexual harassment" and that Bung Moktar should lodge a complaint.
This is the second time Bung Moktar had made the same complaint since 2014.
Last November, another MP from Sabah Marcus Mojigoh (BN-Putatan) had raised the same issue.
At the time, Deputy Transport Minister Abdul Aziz Kaprawi replied that body scanners were not foolproof and that pat downs were still the best form of security checks. -Mkini
