‘Datuk’ arrested for calling policeman stupid

An intoxicated 50-year-old man verbally abuses policeman after refusing to hand over his identity card and car keys when asked to.

PETALING JAYA: An intoxicated 50-year-old ‘Datuk’ was arrested last night after he called a policeman “stupid” for insisting he hand over his identification card and car keys.

According to a report by China Press, the ‘Datuk’ in question was pulled over after police suspected him of driving his Mercedes Benz while under the influence and instructed him to go to the police station for a breathalyser test.

However, upon his arrival at the police station in Jalan Bandar, the man refused to cooperate with the policemen there when they requested he hand over his car keys or identity card.

It was then he shouted, “polis bodoh” (stupid police), which led to him being arrested for abusing a police officer.

In a separate incident, a 21-year-old man was also arrested for driving drunk.

While he was more obliging compared to the ‘Datuk’, he however insisted on driving his Toyota Estima himself to the police station as it was “a luxurious and expensive vehicle.”
