Two Spaniards, a China national and Malaysian woman were on an island-hopping trip.

PETALING JAYA: A Malaysian and three foreigners went missing in Kudat waters, Sabah, on Monday.
They were Spaniards David Hernandez Gasulla and Martha Miguel, as well as China citizen Lam Wai Yin, who was piloting the boat, and a Malaysian woman, NST Online reported.
They left Pulau Balambangan, Banggi, but failed to reach their destination at Simpang Mengayau.
The report quoted Sabah and Labuan regional maritime director First Admiral Mohd Zubil Mat Som as saying the group left the island at 5.30pm yesterday and they were supposed to reach there at 8pm.
The boat owner lodged a report after they did not reach their destination. Efforts to contact them until this morning also failed.
Zubil did not rule out the possibility of the boat malfunctioning due to the bad weather and strong currents.
Malay Mail Online said the four were on a boat trip between Sabah’s northern Balambangan Island and Tanjung Simpang Mengayau at the tip of that Borneo island.
It said Balambangan Island is a lesser known island 10km away from Pulau Banggi, the largest island in Malaysia, and home to several limestone caves.
It added that no abduction note had been received so far.
