Pamer Pelekat #TangkapNajib Boleh Dipenjara 2 Tahun?

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 11 — A woman in Kuching was questioned by police today over a “#TangkapNajib” sticker she had affixed to her car.
According to Murnie Hidayah, nearly 10 police officers has approached her in Satok, Kuching yesterday to question her over the sticker that they believed referenced Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
“I just finished giving my statement, I was investigated under Section 504. The statement taking went for two hours,” she told Malay Mail Online.
“They asked me if the sticker had anything to do with Prime Minister Najib, I refused to answer and maintained my right to be silent,” the lawyer added.
Section 504 pertains to intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of the peace and is punishable by up to two years’ imprisonment, a fine, or both upon conviction.
The authorities had also removed the sticker from the car after taking her statement to “assist with investigations”, Murnie said when providing pictures of the incident.

Pictures of Murnie and her vehicle surrounded by around 10 policemen were widely distributed on social media since yesterday.
Murnie previously tweeted that the police were told to investigate her “on the orders of officers above”.
A police source confirmed that the lawyer was being investigated, but declined to specify the alleged offence or the specific law being applied.
“#TangkapNajib” was the theme of a rally in Kuala Lumpur a fortnight ago.
