JOHOR PRINCE GIVES NAJIB A ZAHID TIP? Don't fear the enemy who attacks you, fear the FAKE FRIEND who hugs you

JOHOR PRINCE GIVES NAJIB A ZAHID TIP? Don't fear the enemy who attacks you, fear the FAKE FRIEND who hugs you
KUALA LUMPUR - The Crown Prince of Johor Tunku Ismail has followed up on his series of eyebrow-raising posts with another 'blockbuster' - this time more direct and telling Malaysians 'not to fear the enemy who attacks you. Fear the fake friend who hugs you'.
Tunku Ismail's latest post follows a report by blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin that insinuated he might have been involved in a 'conspiracy plot' to topple the Najib government.
The 'conspiracy theory' was 'exposed' by new Deputy Prime Minister Zahid Hamidi over the weekend - some say to score brownie points with his boss, with the help of the 'spin' from RPK.
"Three of the masterminds of the Gerakan Anti-Najib or GAN — Rafizi Ramli, Johari Abdul and Ariff Sabri Abdul Aziz — arranged for a certain Indian lawyer who used to be a legal adviser of Umno to prepare 120 Statutory Declarations," RPK had written in his blog.
"About 85 of these SDs were meant for the Pakatan Rakyat Members of Parliament and the other 35 for the Barisan Nasional Members of Parliament. And these 120 Members of Parliament from both sides of the political divide would sign these SDs to prove to His Majesty the Agong that Najib has lost his majority support in Parliament.
"A certain Regent of one of the royal households from one of the southern states of West Malaysia then had an audience with His Majesty the Agong to inform His Majesty that these 120 SDs are in the process of being finalised and that a vote of no confidence would be tabled in Parliament to force Najib to resign as Prime Minister
"The Regent from this southern state asked His Majesty the Agong to support the move to oust Najib, which would be done via a vote of no confidence, while the SDs would ensure that the 120 Members of Parliament do not get cold feet when the time comes like what happened during Anwar Ibrahim’s ’16 September’ fiasco in 2008 that crashed and burned in a most dramatic manner.
"His Majesty the Agong gave this Regent a dressing down and said that he would not support a move to oust the Prime Minister on the basis of lies, innuendoes, insinuations and fabricated allegations supported by doctored evidence," continued RPK, who hails from Selangor.
"The Regent felt like a schoolboy who had been caught stealing muffins from the pantry and wished that the ground would open up so that he can disappear and be put out of his misery. His Majesty the Agong then sent the Regent packing with his tail between his legs and with a strong and categorical ‘no way, Jose’."
Zahid finds himself in the doghouse, not the 'plotters'
True or not, what has angered Malaysians especially members of Najib's Umno party is Zahid's ranting behavior. As the new DPM, he had been expected to behave with more decorum and statesmanship.
Many had hoped Zahid could use his position to close ranks in Umno, which has been bitterly split by an intensifying power struggle and Najib's shock sacking of his deputy Muhyiddin Yassin last month.
Ironically, just before his wild accusations and fiery pledges to protect Najib's position as PM, Zahid had posed with the Johor Sultan and Muhyiddin for a picture (see below) that went viral last week.
The overt show of friendliness between Zahid and his predecessor had sparked fear in the Najib camp, amid talk Zahid was trying to cement ties with Muhyiddin, who wants Najib to step down over the 1MDB financial debacle.
Muhyiddin, who has the support of former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad, has garnered increasing popularity since his ouster. An increasing number of Umno members are flocking to his camp as Najib refuses to quit despite the prolonged uncertainty triggering a raging political and economic crisis.
Najib himself used SDs in Perak coup
Ironically, Zahid had posed with the Johor Sultan and sacked DPM Muhyiddin for the picture above that went viral last week. The overt friendliness between Zahid and Muhyiddin had sparked fear in the Najib camp amid talk that Zahid was trying to cement ties with Muhyiddin, who wants Najib to step down over the 1MDB financial debacle. Their Umno party is split down the line with increasing numbers flocking to support Muhyiddin as Najib refuses to quit, despite the uncertainty triggering a raging political and economic crisis.
Meanwhile, members of the Opposition are unfazed by Zahid's scare tactics and threats to arrest anyone trying to topple Najib's government. The Opposition has made no bones they would be willing to support Najib's removal, so long as the process was legal and peaceful.
They point out that Najib himself used SDs to remove the then Perak Chief Minister Nizar Jamluddin, when he snatched control of the Perak state government in 2009.
"So what is Zahid screaming about? He is fearfully screaming at the prospects of being the shortest –lived TPM and the exit of Najib. Everyone in Malaysia now hates Najib. So what is Zahid talking about?," wrote MP for Raub Mohd Ariff Sabri on his blog Sakmongkol AK47.
"On a more serious note- if the move to topple Najib is orchestrated by an UMNO man, it means UMNO is still in power. So what’s troubling Zahid?
"The UMNO man will certainly retain an UMNO flavour comprising of the brightest among UMNO and the Opposition. It will be a new umno where people like caveman Zahid and his ilk will be missing. That is an UMNO likely to be supported by across the spectrum of people with decent political inclinations.
"That Zahid, should welcome. It will still be led by an UMNO man.
"So why is Zahid screaming incoherently? He is making an SOS call trying to save himself.

"We must excuse him for his outbursts," continued Ariff.
"Doesn’t he know that Najib is not salvageable anymore? The UMNO is ostracising him. Eventually Zahid will be too if he doesn’t use any of the redeemable portion of his doctorate degree.
"As to the story about a regent getting a dressing down from the Agong, about Tengku Razaleigh’s contempt of Dr Mahathir and much of the second section of the RPK article- can anyone tell me where is the dustbin?" - Malaysia Chronicle
