Given ongoing graft busters vs crime busters, Malaysia now need ghost busters – J.D. Lovrenciear

The public are not so naïve. The breaking news conveying statements from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the police about the hauling up MACC officials and raiding the graft busters’ premises raises many questions.
It appears now that crime busters are investigating graft busters. Suppose the graft was on the crime busters, what happens then?
In the first place how can graft busters have run afoul of the law or are now suspects and therefore demand investigations from the crime busters?
Is this coincidence or karma? Or is the plot getting even thicker now?
The public are puzzled. If graft busters are being hauled up by crime busters, who then will haul up crime busters for alleged crimes of omission and commission?
Or are we saying that the crime busters are above the law and even graft busters are subservient to the crime busters?
All these sounds very complicated when you take into consideration several developments arising from and surrounding the two national busters.
One, the top leaders of MACC are missing in action at the very heights of the crime busters action on the graft busters.
Then again, there has a been a heightened cascade of events from the sacking of the deputy prime minister and the missing Bank Negara governor and the sudden removal and now also missing in action Attorney-General of Malaysia.
Hence the public domain is rife with talk about finding a ghost buster. People are asking if there is a hidden hand at work and if so who is he or she?
The graft busters are under surveillance; and the crime busters are saying that they are investigating the graft busters to establish if the graft busters have spilled the beans to anyone other then those whom the crime busters would deem as authorities.
Whew! It then is no surprise why the public are thinking aloud about wanting to have a ghost buster to get to the bottom of things.
But then again what if the ghost buster also gets weeded out?
