Islamic group carries out protest march against US Secretary of State at Asean meeting.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Islamic group Hizbut Tahrir Malaysia carried out a protest march outside Putra World Trade Centre today, condemning the prime minister, Najib Razak, for the presence of US Secretary of State John Kerry at an Asean meeting being held here.
Ustad Umar, a member of the group, said Najib’s political weakness was now obvious in his willingness to show respect towards “enemies of Islam”.
The group’s spokesman, Abdul Hakim Othman, said: “To us Muslims, any delegation from America is an enemy of Islam and they shouldn’t be treated as guests here in our country”.
About 100 protesters in the group marched from Jalan Putra to PWTC chanting “Allahuakbar” and urging Kerry to get out.
Yet our dear PM tells the "white people" not to interfere with Malaysian matters? Hahaha, what a joke. To our BN & UMNO members, there are 2 types of Melayu and whites - UMNO Melayu/whites & Non-UMNO Melayu/whites!!!! Hypocrites! Only the uneducated/illiterate melayus (except RPK who's quite educated) can believe in BN/UMNO!
