DESPERATE NAJIB, AMBITIOUS ZAHID: MUHYIDDIN MAY BE SACKED AT SEPT 9 UMNO MEETING

DESPERATE NAJIB, AMBITIOUS ZAHID: MUHYIDDIN MAY BE SACKED AT SEPT 9 UMNO MEETING
What will be the fate of Datuk Seri Muhyiddin Yasin in UMNO Supreme Council (USC) meeting this 9th September?
Will his UMNO membership be canceled and Muhyiddin be fired and lose his position as Deputy President or will he be spared from any action that would enable him to continue criticizing the party and UMNO President and remained seated as the number two causing trouble to the president until the party elections in 2018?
So far, a variety of opinions and assumptions can be heard on the fate of the former Deputy Prime Minister. Some say he will be fired to make it easy for Datuk Seri Najib Razak to take the next course of actions, both in the government and UMNO and some are convinced that no such action will be taken because it will aggravate the BN chances to win the next election.
However, based on the latest developments as soon as the announcement was made that 9th September as the date of the USC meeting, it is highly possible that Muhyiddin will be expelled from the party.
He is expected to be fired for allegedly undermining the party's image and discrediting UMNO President Najib Razak, following the open criticism he made of 1MDB and the RM2,600 million donation when officiating several UMNO delegates meetings some two to three weeks earlier.
After Muhyiddin was sacked from the government on 28 July, the USC should meet on 31st July together with a briefing on 1MDB to UMNO Division Heads from the various parts of the country.
But then the meeting was postponed, and the next USC meeting was set for 28thAugust. However, it was again postponed when it was announced a few days ago that 9 September is the new date of the USC meeting which should convene once a month.
Code name 'Second Operation'
PM Najib and  DPM Zahid Hamidi
A high official in the UMNO Headquarters who is close to the Prime Minister told an acquaintance recently that the "Second operation" will take place in the near future which would cause "all Najib’s problems in UMNO will be solved."
Without elaborating further on the purpose or form of the "Second operation", the official said, after the operation, Najib will no longer have any problem in the party and can devote his full attention in facing the upcoming 14th General Election.
From the way the UMNO Headquarters officer was talking, that shows Najib wants to resolve the problems within the party first, and the most reasonable and appropriate action by the USC meeting on the stated date would be to remove the threat caused by Muhyiddin.
The "Second operation" will be the next step to eliminate any threat to Najib following the "First operation" resulted in the removal of Muhyiddin and Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal in the cabinet reshuffle on 28th July recently.
As long as Muhyiddin remains in his post and free to criticize the party and the leadership of the Prime Minister openly, it would be seen as disturbance to the Najib’s position in UMNO and undermines his efforts to strengthen BN in winning the General Election.
It is believed that by getting rid of Muhyiddin thus forfeiting his Deputy President post, the effect of his influence on the party be gone because his voice after that would be considered as an "independent voice" or just the “voice of the opposition".
Shafie safe, Mukhriz curtailed
Muhyiddin Yassin and PM Najib
Muhyiddin is expected to be the only one who will be sacked from Umno on 9 September, while no action will be taken against Shafie another UMNO leader who was also dropped from cabinet post recently and who also loudly criticized Najib, in order to avoid greater harm to the party.
Shafie will be exempted against any action but will slowly be persuaded to continue supporting Najib’s leadership to ensure political harmony in Sabah and contribute to the continuity of BN power.
Other sources informed that the efforts to garner support among members of the USC to take action against Muhyiddin and cancel his membership and firing him had already started a few days ago to ensure the support of two-thirds is achieved if voting were to be done.
It also said that the motion to dismiss Muhyiddin will be done by a person holding a senior post in the party and government.
At the same time, in addition to dismissal of Muhyiddin, the USC meeting on 9thSeptember is also expected to make changes to the posts of UMNO Liaison Chairman of Kedah and Perak.
Kedah UMNO Liaison Chairman who is now held by Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir is expected to be taken over by Datuk Seri Mahadzir Khalid who was recently promoted to Minister of Education while Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who now holds the post of Deputy Prime Minister will take over the chairmanship of Perak UMNO currently held by Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir.
Johore Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin who looked so sympathetic towards Muhyiddin such that some UMNO divisions in the state spoke out (against 1MDB/Najib) at the meeting of representatives recently, however, will not be affected as Johore UMNO Liaison Chairman because it was said that Najib wants to ensure the Johore people would not be hurt further if action is taken. - http://shahbudindotcom.blogspot.com/
