Why the insults and abuses over social media during the fasting month?
KUANTAN: Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, the Tengku Puan of Pahang, hit out at those on social media on Monday for hurling “insults and abuses” during the holy month of Ramadan.
Tunku Azizah, speaking at the breaking of fast with 71 orphans from Kuantan and Indera Mahkota, said the mainstream media was credible but that social media was wanting.
Tunku Azizah said social media users were “endlessly posting insults and hurtful comments” even during the month of Ramadan.
“I do not even know what these bloggers are writing about,” she said in a Star Online report.
The Pahang Media Club, Pahang Islamic Council and Impiana Resort Cherating organised the breaking of fast with the orphans.
