Someone “opened the door” for the RM130 million Mara property scandal to happen.
KUALA LUMPUR: PKR Secretary-General Rafizi Ramli says that Umno Youth Chief Khairy Jamaluddin should expect skepticism among the people if there’s silence from the ruling party when asked questions.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Rafizi alleged that someone must have “opened the door” for the RM130 million Mara property scandal to happen.
“How can certain individuals, who have no connections with Mara, suddenly be so involved and so important in these transactions?” he asked. “Someone must have opened the door for this to happen.”
The people want to know who opened the door, added Rafizi who is also Pandan MP. “Surely it has to be a political connection, but Khairy and his deputy Khairul Azwan are not answering these questions.”
The fact that they don’t answer questions or deny the facts just shows that the documents and facts are true, said Rafizi.
Earlier this week, Khairul threatened to take legal action against Rafizi unless he corrects his statement implicating him in the Mara Scandal.
