Najib, what are you waiting for? – Kumarendran Balachandran

I genuinely do not see any reason why Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has yet to say anything on with the claims made by several parties that he should  go on leave during investigations made by The Wall Street Journal.
I’m not trying to push Najib to have a press conference and explain word by word each allegation that has been made. But to tactfully deal with the larger accusations that have been made against him.
I respectfully say, in a collective voice, that we Malaysians are more than ready to accept “just” and well “substantiated” reasons, if any, by Najib. I believe in the humanity Malaysians possess and rest assure that we are all waiting for that chance to listen to the PM’s reasons.
On the central issue itself, I question the integrity of the prime minister, only because he had not made any clear justification that “he had not” received the money but kept harping that he did not used it for his personal gain.
I think this is a serious question on his moral and principle stand. Why would someone channel that much of cash to a personal account and use it for the benefit of the country or whatever reason? Any man, with not much intellect, will know and tell you that no matter how much the suspect tries to defend himself, it would be absurd for us– the laymen too believe he did not touch a single sen.
As much as the prime minister and his office wants us to not talk and make speculations about any issues relating to the subject, that is how much do we, the citizens, who rightly voted, who rightly listened to the plead for votes during the election period, would like to know a proper, or at least a simple justification from the prime minister.
Second, the allegations made towards the prime minister’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor. In the question of principle again, there will be no form of justification from the prime minister that will deem acceptable, from us the citizens if it came clear and proven that Rosmah received that RM2million.
As Najib’s wife she has no stand whatsoever to be involved first-hand, dealing with any monetary affairs relating to this country. We did not vote for Rosmah to be in power and that rightly proves she should not be involved in the matter at all.
As ordinary citizens, or even truthfully, as humans – we can never run away from making speculation. It is in our very nature, in a civilised society to hold an opinion, and as long as I can justify my arguments with valid and concrete reasoning, I should be allowed, to stand by it (though there are many exceptions to it). My speculation is that the only reason the PM is not wanting to leave his position, is because he has more things to hide, and he’s afraid that whomever takes up the thrown hereafter, will only discover more mistakes he had done? Or giving him the benefit of doubt, perhaps he doesn’t want to be known as a leader whom left office, with the pressure of his own people? Or maybe he’s afraid of the lament history books will throw on him in the years to come? I do not know. But what I do know though, it’s only the PM that can save himself now. We are waiting, but not very long–we are in dire need for answers.
I certainly do not want this issue to get rubbed way with time, like many other issues here in Malaysia. I’ll stand by justice, and I will continue to educate and advocate for the people around me.
I pen this without necessarily using jargons and technicalities, only because I want this message to get across to everybody.
