NAJIB BEGS FOR SUPPORT? 16 ministers hold sudden late-night meeting

NAJIB BEGS FOR SUPPORT? 16 ministers hold sudden late-night meeting
A rather special meeting was called last night but the ministers themselves remained mum about what exactly was discussed.
According to StarTV, at least 16 ministers were spotted at the venue but none were willing to give any information except for Finance Minister II Husni Hanadzlah who said some words but was coy about letting the cat out of the bag.
"It's an internal discussion... we discussed many things here such as RMK11 (Eleventh Malaysia Plan) and all that," he said in the video.
However, when pressed if it had anything to do with 1MDB, Husni merely replied "no, no, no, we don't discuss" before walking onto a lift.
As the ministers deliberated at the late night Tuesday meeting at Majestic Hotel, Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak (photo) was attending the launch of the Christians for Peace and Harmony in Malaysia (CPHM) at the same venue.
Najib was not seen among the ministers leaving after the three-hour long meeting.
To brief ministers on 1MDB
According to Utusan Malaysia, the meeting which started at 9pm was meant to brief the ministers on the Finance Ministry-owned 1MDB which is struggling to repay its RM42 billion debt.
Among the ministers spotted in the video were Shafie Apdal, Hishammuddin Hussein, Liow Tong Lai, G Palanivel, Khairy Jamaluddin, Mustapha Mohamed, Fadillah Yusof, Shahidan Kassim, Idris Jusoh, Rahman Dahlan, Joseph Entulu, Idris Jala, Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Rohani Abdul Karim and Shabery Cheek.
The gathering last night preceded a cabinet meeting scheduled for today. - Mkini
