JOHOR BARU - A custom-built Mack Super-Liner commissioned by the Sultan of Johor was recently unveiled at the Brisbane Truck Show.
According to Motoring, the offices of Sultan Ibrahim dealt directly with Mack Trucks Australia to commission the monster truck that took a dedicated team of 30 men to build.
The Australian car portal said it is “powered by Mack’s 16-litre, 685hp MP10 engine and mated to Mack's mDRIVE 12-speed automated manual transmission.”
It rides on a Mack FXL16.5 steer axle and Meritor RT46-160 drive axles, it added.
The big rig was customised by Viking Trucks, with a paint job featuring the Johor flag, a tiger head motif emblematic of the Johor Darul Ta’zim football team and the royal crest.
Interior highlights include leather and suede imported from South Africa and royal crests that are sewn into the seats with real gold thread.
Meanwhile, the 2,260mm sleeper cab is reported to contain a kitchenette kitted out in solid Jarrah timber and stone, as well as blue lighting. It also has two television sets hooked up to games consoles. - Malay Mail
