EC chief dodges WSJ, says show proof if any

Vijay47: Election Commission (EC) chief Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof, the obvious fact staring at you in the face is that there have now surfaced more than reasonable indications that the 13th general election (GE13) was conducted under the most suspicious of circumstances, with raw corruption and blatant abuse of government funds and machinery featured prominently.

That the latest in a long list of serious allegations comes after more than two years is not for you to question. It is something that could be raised by the defence when Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and Umno face charges in court.

However, this is not in any way to suggest that you will indeed commence prosecution for offences committed by those crooks against almost every law in town. You are too much of a beholden, spineless, shameless cloying sycophant for us to expect that you will honourably execute the responsibilities placed on your unworthy shoulders by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

Please do not speak as though you are a spokesperson or defence counsel for Umno, for you have a higher duty to fulfil. But then, that would be beyond a lowdown vermin like you.

Kim Quek: EC chief Aziz Yusof, it is you who is primarily and specifically entrusted by the Federal Constitution to conduct and safeguard the integrity of elections.

So, aren’t you ashamed of yourself for shifting this responsibility by asking non-government bodies and private individuals to “collect full and complete evidence and lodge a report with the police or the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission” over the scandal as if this has nothing to do with you?

Further, is it reasonable to ask private individuals to dig deep into government bodies to uncover forensic evidence of crime, knowing fully well that it is only law enforcing institutions that possess such investigative powers?

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), which is a world’s leading newspaper, has exposed sufficient incriminating evidence not only on election bribery but also on abuse of power and corruption involving PM Najib, who is personally responsible for all investments by 1MDB and who also chairs Yayasan Rakyat 1Malaysia (YR1M), which dished out the alleged election bribery.

Hence, the EC, police and MACC should now jump in to investigate such election and other criminal offences without further ado.

Anonymous_1423530248: Why? Why? I ask why not? Crime is still crime despite the passage of time. Complete dereliction of your duties. Only a fool will ask someone else to provide the proof when it is but your paid duty to investigate. How you fail your country, time and again.

Appum: EC, how can you ask for people to bring forward "full and complete evidence" before you can take action just to investigate. As a top civil servant at least the best you can say is "we shall look into it".

How and when, and even if you keep a blind eye to all these, it is up to your own self-esteem and true commitment to your job. The easiest way to dismiss anyone in any "charge" is to ask for "full and complete evidence".

Mind you, you are now earning ‘haram’ salary and big future pensions from the sweat and toil of the businesses and employees of this country. I hope every month, when your salary is banked into your account, spare a thought to whether you have earned that money cleanly, responsibly and fairly. Is it ‘haram’ or ‘halal’?

If any thought of it responds negatively, please resign and refuse all income that comes from the rakyat.

Odin Tajué: Abdul Aziz, I have commented several times in the past that many of my fellow readers are very intelligent people. Although some of them may not write perfect English (neither do I), they are pretty bright upstairs.

One example is Appum. He has pointed out something very basic that you have obviously missed in your obsessive anxiousness to defend your lord and master Umno.

It is your job to investigate when there arises any suspicion of wrongdoings having been perpetrated, or of situations that suggest impropriety having taken place.

As Appum has pointed out, there is no more need for you to investigate if Bersih can provide ‘full and complete evidence’. If that is your requirement before you can initiate the appropriate action, then your existence and that of your commission is redundant.

Your mind has become clouded by your complete subservience and total submission to your lord and master, as illustrated by your asking why Bersih was still bringing up election irregularities more than two years after the GE13. Only imbeciles ask that sort of questions. Obviously, you are one of the imbeciles.

The exposé published by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) has appeared only now and not years ago. Shall I repeat that in the hope to get it through your thick skull? The exposé published by the WSJ has appeared only now, not years ago.

And before you ask yet another imbecilic question as to why WSJ has come up with its exposé only now, the answer is simply that the only possible reason is that it has been provided with the information only now and not more than two years ago. Had it got the information back then, it would have published its exposé at that time.

The big problem with all of you servile sycophants of Umno is that you sorely lack the intelligence to defend your lord and master convincingly, persuasively.

Guna Otak: All this guy can do is to put on a defence and try to throw the ball to Bersih. He does not see anything in the report, nor feels the need to investigate anything. Just sit tight and the storm will blow over. No wonder the words honour, integrity or shame mean nothing in the corridors of power.

Well Thats Fantastic: When these cases were thrown out of court on as you say "technical" issue, we are left with zero justice and probably the wrong person in power.

So, of course the people are still upset. Why does the EC pretend to be so stupid? No one is that stupid and we know what they are up to, and who they really work for.

Hplooi: The common reply when asked on the morality of their position is "they sleep soundly every day". -Mkini
