DON'T THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN OTHERS:'Secession' Prince whacks Muslim hardliners on dress code

DON'T THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN OTHERS:'Secession' Prince whacks Muslim hardliners on dress code
As more cases of women being asked to 'cover up' appears in the media, Johor prince Tunku Idris Sultan Ibrahim has posted a reminder from Zimbabwean-born Mufti Ismail Musa Menk on his Instagram account.
"When you see a female dressed in a manner that is unacceptable Islamically, do not for a moment think that she is lower than you spiritually.
"If you do that, you are lower than her. Believe me, that is the teaching of your religion. She might have a link with her creator that you do know about.
"She might have a heart that is tons better than yours. She might have one weakness that is outward, and you have 50 weaknesses that are hidden," reads the post.
The prince's posting garnered close to 4,000 likes and more than 100 comments.
Tunku Idris had previously caused a stir when he posted an agreement regarding Johor becoming part of Malaysia, which sparked off a debate on secession.
That posting followed a spat between his older brother, crown prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and Umno minister Nazri Abdul Aziz.
Meanwhile, in the latest 'short skirt' incident a woman, depicted in a Facebook post wearing a brown knee-length skirt, was allegedly denied entry into a Penang court by a security guard.
On Monday, two women, including a journalist, were told to wear sarongs to enter the Selangor state secretariat building.
Last week, a woman was reportedly stopped by security at Sungai Buloh Hospital for wearing shorts.
In another incident on June 8, a woman was denied entry into the Gombak Road Transport Department (JPJ) office for wearing a skirt above her knee and was asked to wear a sarong if she wanted service.
In Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah ticked off those who criticised national gymnast Farah Ann Hadi's attire and praised her for doing the nation and state proud in the recent SEA Games. - M'kini
