LABUAN - Local police have cautioned the public, particularly students against a new tactic by drug peddlers to promote their ware through the Internet.
Labuan police chief Supt Adzhar Othman said police had detained a 20-year-old student at 3pm on May 17 after his parents brought him to the police station for behaving in a strange manner.
“We found him positive for cannabis and immediately detained him under Section 15(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. He was released the following day,” Adzhar said in a statement Wednesday.
He said investigations revealed that the youth had been actively communicating through social media with an unidentified group that was promoting cookies dubbed, “Biskut Raksasa”.
“The student ordered two jars of the cookies; each jar costs RM60,” he said. – BERNAMA
