Dr M will kick Najib out, says Ariff Sabri

'Once he's on to something, he'll pursue it to the end.'

PETALING JAYA: Dr Mahathir Mohamad will succeed in removing Prime Minister Najib from power.

Raub MP Ariff Sabri made this confident prediction in his latest blog entry, in which he notes that Mahathir’s criticism of Najib yesterday was his harshest yet.

“Dr Mahathir is methodical,” Ariff writes. “He would dissect things one by one. Once he’s on to something, he’ll pursue it to the end.

“Dr Mahathir is on to kick out Najib. He will succeed.”

Ariff notes that Mahathir raised all the “hottest issues” in his blog entry yesterday, adding that the controversy surrounding the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu is among the most critical of issues.

“We’ll see that this is the issue that will eventually destroy Najib,” he says. “As opposed to the court’s stance, the public wants to know the motive and who ordered the two policemen to commit the murder.

“The job of whoever takes over the leadership of the country is to reopen the case, order a retrial, find enough evidence to recall Abdul Razak Baginda and weigh every piece of evidence from every angle.”

He says Mahathir has shown in simple language that Najib does not have leadership qualities, “the most important qualification for someone to be a prime minister”.

He adds that the people have realised that the Najib they have known all this time is just an image and an idea of leadership created by image makers.

“Najib is an invented leader,” he declares, adding that it is Najib’s lack of leadership that has wrought “all kinds of damage” to the country.

“At last,” he says, “the chickens have come home to roost.”
