He says the deputy minister's GST roadshow in Permatang Pauh will guarantee Pakatan's victory.

PETALING JAYA: DAP MP Ariff Sabri has welcomed Deputy Finance Minister Ahmad Maslan’s announcement that he would go on a roadshow around Permatang Pauh to explain the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Ariff, who has often referred to Ahmad’s alleged witlessness, says the roadshow will help Pakatan Rakyat win in the Permatang Pauh by-election.
“I like Ahmad Maslan,” he says in his latest blog posting. “He’s a clever boy, with a CGPA of 3.8. Ahmad Maslan + GST = the recipe for BN’s defeat.”
According to Ariff, the talk currently being heard from the BN camp is the talk of losers. Such statements as “We’ll fight to the end,” betrays an attitude of surrender and resignation, he says.
The Raub MP is apparently looking forward to the Permatang Pauh by-election, which will be held on May 7. He says it will give Pakatan the opportunity to explain to voters the issues of justice as well as the GST and a host of other financial scandals associated with the Najib administration.
Ariff’s posting today, written mostly in a wisecracking tone, also refers to the current dispute between Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and former premier Mahathir Mohamad.
He says he conducted an informal opinion poll among the “common folk” last night. “They said, ‘Long live Mahathir’ and ‘Death to Najib,’” he reports. “If only PM Najib would hear the laments of the people, he’d pass out.”
He reports in a postscript that there has been talk that Taek Jho Low, the controversial tycoon associated with the 1MDB scandal, has decided to return to Malaysia “to face the people” and to “tell all.”
