Police will investigate the producers of business radio station BFM89.9 and presenter Aisyah Tajuddin for blasphemy, after the station aired a video allegedly questioning the implementation of hudud in Kelantan.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar in a New Straits Times (NST) Online report today said those behind the video would be called up for investigations under Section 298 of the Penal Code for blasphemy.
He told the news portal that police have received at least five reports after the video was published and that the complainants felt that their religious beliefs had been mocked.
"The video had also hurt the feelings of (Muslim) followers who felt that their religion had been insulted," he said in the NST report after flagging off the Royal Malaysian Police Force's Cycling marathon at Dataran Putrajaya, Precinct 4, this morning.
