Syariah High Court registrar Muhammad Fateh Saleh fixed January 15 for mention of the case, where other terms of the custody are to be discussed as well.
The report said that Fateh had fixed the same date to finalise the couple's divorce through an arbitrator pending a review of the reconciliation committee report filed by Raja Ahmad's lawyer, Azmi Mohd Rais under Section 51 of the Administration of Islamic Law (Federal Territories) Act 1993.
The review date will be known in two days time, the report said.
"My client has decided to file a review of the reconciliation committee's report as he feels its contents are unfair to him," Azmi was quoted as saying.
Nurul Izzah, who is also PKR vice-president and the daughter of opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, was represented by Normawaddah Ramli.
Both the politician and her husband were present in court today.
The lower Syariah Court had, in October, set December 8 to finalise the couple's divorce after Raja Ahmad insisted that he still loved his wife and children and refused to utter the statement of divorce (talak).
Nurul Izzah, 34, filed the application for divorce in January.
She and Raja Ahmad Shahrir were married on May 9, 2003 and have a daughter, aged seven, and son, aged four.
