Muslims don't need IS to destroy Islam's image: PERKASA already doing it with SICK ANTICS!

Muslims don't need IS to destroy Islam's image: PERKASA already doing it with SICK ANTICS!
As widely reported, the ‘Penang state administrative centre at Komtar in George Town was in a lockdown for two hours this afternoon as a boisterous group of right-wing Malay supporters held a protest at its main entrance against the use of the word "Allah".
And that during ‘a protest in Perak outside the DAP office in Ipoh, Perkasa members manhandled a state assemblyperson and tore down a banner with Christmas and New Year greetings’ (Malaysiakini).
The above banner too paints a thousand words of reality on the ground.
Will all those who love and adhere to the sacred truths and tenets of Islam please rise. Do we have to continue to witness – incident after incident, where the good name and beauty of Islam has to be hammered without much thought by Perkasa and its associated allies?
Harming Islam
In this age of evangelization, do Perkasa and its allies not realize that their antics and actions are not a bonus but a critical bane to make Islam appealing to unbelievers?
In this new age where humanity is re-discovering its purpose and sanctity of life through the hallways of religions, why are our Made-in-Malaysia extremists drowning every opportunity to spread and share this Religion of the Book, Islam, with those who may not or have yet to learn about its beauty?
Why are these self-proclaimed defenders of Islam fueling the suspicious perceptions of non-believers?
Where are our leaders? Where are the protectors of Islam? Where are the learned and wise sages? Where are our law enforcers?
In this global re-shaping of viewpoints and human efforts to avert world wars and terror, why are we Malaysians so helpless in the face of such religious rage on our streets?
Muslims and the believers of all other faiths must go beyond merely condemning this most recent episode by Perkasa and its allies.
As citizens, as humans and as believers in the Holy Books according to our respective faiths, we must share in this battle to protect Islam as much as we must not hinder citizens from loving the God and the teachings that their religions expound.
To even allow Perkasa and its allies to protest in such taunting, vulgar and vehement manner goes against the very basic tenets of Islam, let alone those of other religions.
Hopefully the prime minister will decisively close the chapter of Perkasa and its allies undeterred antics and showdowns that insults Islam and its followers; that pains the hearts of all citizens who want to respect and honor every ones religion.
Failing which, we remain as a nation that is silently breeding extremism to root permanently on its land. For religion is not protected through violence and hatred. Religion is promoted and nurtured through harmony, wisdom, peace and tolerance.
Malaysian Muslims please rise to protect the beauty of Islam as how the rest of the non-extremist world is proudly achieving in these troubled times. Otherwise, suffer the sin of omission on your part too. - MAILBAG
