THE 'AH LONGS' HAVE WON! Face it, Malaysian enforcers in their grip, not the other way round

THE 'AH LONGS' HAVE WON! Face it, M'sian enforcers in their grip, not the other way round
The photo below was featured in a news portal. According to the report, uniformed men went to town in Kota Kinabalu to confiscate the illegal posters and banners put up by Ahlongs all over town.
It seems that 838 such advertisements were removed by the enforcement teams. According to the ‘City police chief Assistant Commissioner’ a ‘four-hour operation’ was conducted.
“These are advertisements by unlicensed money lending companies, put up without authorization from the Kota Kinabalu City Hall” he said.
And it is reported that over the last two months, a total of 2,622 such posters were removed by the authorities. And to boot it all so far two men were arrested.
Are the rakyat so easily duped?
Now what kind of public relations exercise is this?
In the first place, why are our police top cops walking the streets to tear down illegal posters advertising illegal activities (money lending)?
Should they not instead be silently arresting all the named culprits (whose contact numbers are loudly printed on the posters)?

They have been busy taking down over 2,000 posters these past two months and there re-appears now another 838 new advertisements!
Does it not tell a clear story that the crooks are not intimidated in any way and are actually challenging the police? Or are the crooks saying that the cops cannot touch them?
And why ask the public to alert the authorities if they spot any posters popping up? Are not the field enforcement officers and men-in-blue who patrol the streets not doing that job?
Another lost battle
Yes indeed the lone shark menace is becoming another lost battle just like the drugs and mat rempit menace. And let us not just blame the rakyat all the time for all these.
Have our authorities gone to the public open car parks in Putrajaya lately? Do they not know that every other day every car is left with calling cards, slips of advertisements and notices announcing ‘pinjaman wang’ of all sorts?
Despite all the highlights by MCA political bureau and some NGOs as well as the local media, we know that illegal money lending is perceived as being quietly allowed.
If our authorities really mean business, who would ever dare publicly announce their contact numbers and even addresses enticing innocent and naïve citizens into the trap
Can the relevant cabinet Minister please tell us citizens how huge is this business and what percentage of the population have pawned their lives, their assets and indirectly the nation’s wealth into the greedy palms of illegal ahlongs nationwide?
When the citizens lose their wealth to ahlongs, the big picture truth is that this nation is being sold to crooks. Got it?
Let us not be hoodwinked by all these seemingly ‘getting tough’ exercise against illegal money lending. Such nice PR events cannot go on window dressing a serious problem in this country. - MAILBAG
