A PKR parliamentarian has slammed PAS for criticising PKR and its de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim during the Islamist party’s muktamar.
In a series of tweets, Bayan Baru MP Sim Tze Tzin first pointed out that PAS Youth, syura council and the Dewan Ulama can win battles inside PAS, but “they are losing the war for the next general election”.
He then questioned why those supporting Pakatan are called traitors while those in support of a unity government with Umno are defended.
“What’s the story, PAS Ulama?” asked Sim yesterday.
Continuing on, Sim said that PKR had given the Pengkalan Kubor state assembly seat to PAS.
“(But) they thank us by attacking PKR and Anwar Ibrahim,” he said, tagging Anwar in the tweet.
Anwar meanwhile simply replied with the word "patience", to Sim’s tirade.
A PAS Youth delegate yesterday had criticised Anwar during the wing's annual meet.
Kelantan delegate Norazaliza Mohd Alawi had claimed that Anwar did not seek consensus from Pakatan when he announced the ‘Kajang Move’, as well as when he announced that PKR’s Baru Bian would become Sarawak chief minister should Pakatan win the state.
“Did he seek consensus from Pakatan when he announced there would be a non-Muslim deputy prime minister if Pakatan takes federal power?” said Norazaliza to a resounding ‘no’ from the delegates.
Meanwhile, Sim then added: “Can I ask, is PAS fighting against Umno or Pakatan?”
“For the Pengkalan Kubor by-election, PAS is against Umno. For PAS muktamar, it is PAS against Pakatan. Do enlighten me on this, PAS ulama," he said.
He also questioned PAS’ action against its member Mohd Zuhdi Marzuki, after the PAS Dewan Ulama passed a motion urging the party’s disciplinary board to take action against PAS state assemblypersons Saari Sungib and Hasnul Baharuddin for expressing their support for PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as Selangor menteri besar.
A conversation in a PAS central committee Whatsapp group leaked in July showed Zuhdi suggesting that PAS should team up with Umno in Selangor.

Zuhdi had said that cooperation with Umno would enable them to establish Malay-Muslim hegemony in Selangor, and will allow the Islamist party to "swat away" complaints from DAP and non-Muslims regarding the Allah issue and also church raids. -M'kini
