Pakatan Rakyat will maintain the existing composition of each of the coalition's exco members, says newly appointed Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali today.
He said PAS will get four seats, while DAP and PKR will each get three.
"There is no change to the composition. The Sultan has accepted all the proposed names. No one was rejected," he said after meeting the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, at Istana Mestika in Shah Alam.
"Ten people. The composition remains the same. I will make an announcement tomorrow.
"I am thankful that the sultan had no issues with the list which I had presented to him." he said.
Azmin was earlier spotted entering the palace at 2.40pm, before leaving at 4.10pm.
The appointment of a new exco line-up had stirred controversy when PKR Wanita head Zuraida Kamaruddin suggested the PAS representation be reduced.
She said PAS only deserved consolation places for failing to support the nomination of party president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng also caused controversy by labelling the four PAS exco members as traitors for continuing in their positions instead of resigning.
The four PAS exco members had continued to support former Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim at the height of the leadership tussle in the state.
But, former exco member for religious affairs, Sallehin Mukhyi, criticised Lim for failing to understand the state constitution.
Sallehin said Lim had ulterior motives for issuing such a loaded statement.
After Pakatan Rakyat won the people’s mandate for a second term in Selangor, the 10 appointed exco members were Sallehin, Datuk Teng Chang Khim, V. Ganabatirau, Ean Yong Hian Wah, Iskandar Abdul Samad, Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi, Dr Halimah Ali, Rodziah Ismail, Elizabeth Wong, dan Dr Daroyah Alwi.
But, the six PKR and DAP exco members were sacked by Khalid on August 12, after issuing a statement declaring their intentions of limiting the authority of a menteri besar in meetings.
