Pakatan break-up on the cards: Brace for a PAS-AZMIN-UMNO unity govt in Selangor

I don’t agree with Husam Musa’s analysis that it is quite impossible to form a PAS-Umno unity government in Selangor on his contention that PAS central committee will surely reject any frog jumping over from PKR.

PAS central committee may not accept those frogs, but still, a “unity” government can be formed, if PAS insists on nominating Azmin Ali as an additional nominee to Wan Azizah. This is because the Sultan is likely to appoint Azmin and Azmin is likely to accept.

In that event, Azmin’s hard-core supporters in the assembly, which is considerable, will surely vote for him. And together with Umno’s 12 votes and PAS’ 13 or so votes, Azmin will carry the day in the assembly, thus ushering a de-facto PAS-Azmin-Umno unity government in Selangor.

And that would also mean PAS will break off from Pakatan.

If Husam and company do not want this to happen, they must now urgently exert maximum pressure on the conservative faction in PAS to put an emergency brake on the move to present Azmin’s name to the Sultan tomorrow.
