Referring to Saari Sungip and Hasnul Baharuddin, he says PAS does not take their action lightly.
BATU PAHAT: PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang today denounced two Selangor assemblymen from the party who signed statutory declarations in support of PKR President Wan Azizah Ismail’s candidacy for the Menteri Besar’s post.
In his winding-up speech at the PAS general assembly, Hadi spoke of assemblymen who had been “stolen” and “bought” without mentioning them by name, but he was obviously referring to Hulu Klang’s Saari Sungip and Morib’s Hasnul Baharuddin. Neither did he name the thief or buyer.
He described the two as “brokers” and “barua”, a Malay word usually translated as “pimp”. He said PAS did not take their action lightly.
He said PAS’ political cooperation with PKR and DAP were based on principles they could agree on, but he told PAS leaders and members they must be aware that the three parties held different ideologies and had different aims in their political struggles.
“PAS has its basis in Islam, PKR in pragmatic secularism and DAP in socialist secularism,” he said.
