HADI KEEPING SECRETS AGAIN? Pas leaders say in the dark over deputy MB post

PAS has never discussed the possibility of accepting the Selangor deputy menteri besar post, said a top party leader.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, he claimed that the PAS leadership is in the dark about the latest speculation.
He was asked to comment on a report by The Star Online, which quoted sources, claiming that Selangor PAS chief Iskandar Samad is tipped to be the new deputy menteri besar.
"We do not know anything of this. If indeed he (Iskandar) is offered the post, then we (the PAS central committee) would have to meet to discuss.
"We have only been discussing the scenario of Iskandar getting the menteri besar post, not the deputy post," said the PAS leader.
A Selangor PAS leader said it would be good if PAS gets the deputy menteri besar post, and PKR the menteri besar post.
"We in Selangor just want to get on with our work. This has dragged on too long.
"As far as Selangor PAS is concerned, it is best that we accept whatever decision made by the sultan and close ranks within Pakatan Rakyat.
"We cannot afford to have a state election with Pakatan in disarray. PAS top leaders who are pushing for PAS to be the menteri besar have to understand this," he added.
Meanwhile, a PAS central committee member, who also declined to be named, said if Iskandar gets the deputy menteri besar post, the central committee would not accept it immediately.
The issue, he added, must be discussed by the committee members.
"There was no such rumour of PAS getting the deputy menteri besar post during the recent muktamar.
"We hope the central committee this time will let Selangor deal with its own issue. PAS from other states should realise that we (Pakatan) cannot afford to lose Selangor," he added.
Iskandar was initially speculated to be in the running for the menteri besar post but it now appears that PKR deputy president Azmin Ali would be helming the state.
A check by Malaysiakini later discovered that the Star Online report had been retracted from the website.
At present, Selangor does not have a deputy menteri besar. -M'kini
