Former Selangor menteri besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim today welcomed PKR's plan to review approvals and contracts under his administration.
Khalid said he also welcomed the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to go through or investigate all the deals and agreements signed during his tenure.
"These include the Selangor water deal and the agreement to develop Canal City," he said on Twitter, adding that his lawyers would issue a statement on the matter soon.
PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim earlier said beneficiaries of various major deals struck by Khalid would be exposed.
PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim earlier said beneficiaries of various major deals struck by Khalid would be exposed.
He said the state government under Mohamed Azmin Ali was expected to review and highlight “huge approvals and contracts” by Khalid's administration.
They include the water deal signed by Khalid with the federal government, involving the treatment and distribution operations in the RM30 billion industry, the building of the RM3.6 million Langat 2 water treatment plant and the RM2.42 billion Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (Kidex).
Anwar also expressed confidence that Azmin would make good his promise of good governance and transparency, and deliver on the “shift from the corporate way of governing to concern and care for the people.”
He added that Azmin’s administration has also been asked to review the pay hikes for the MB and executive council members, as well as to look into reducing assessment rates in the state following increments under Khalid since 2008.
