DON'T PATRONISE WOMEN! PAS sec-gen insists PKR's Zuraida 'DOESN'T UNDERSTAND', refuses to entertain call for exco review
PAS secretary-general Mustafa Ali said today that he won't "entertain" PKR women's chief Zuraida Kamaruddin over the her call for PAS' Selangor exco allocation be reviewed.
Malay daily Sinar Harian quoted him as saying that Zuraida "doesn't understand", but refused to elaborate.
"She doesn't understand, I don't want to entertain," he reportedly said.
"Saying she doesn't understand is enough…I don't have to comment because she doesn't understand," he emphasised.
Zuraida wanted PAS' exco positions be reviewed due to the party's handling of the Selangor Menteri Besar issue, which had angered both PKR and DAP.
Meanwhile, PAS had submitted its proposed list of state executive councillors (excos) for Selangor to Menteri Besar Azmin Ali, Mustafa was quoted as saying.
PAS mouthpiece Harakah Daily quoted Mustafa as saying that the decision was made by president Abdul Hadi Awang after Selangor PAS gave the mandate on choosing the excos to the central PAS leadership.
"The PAS president submitted the names to the MB last night," Mustafa (above) said.
He, however, did not reveal the number of exco candidates named, and the names of the candidates, though he did say there might not be "major changes" to the previous exco line-up from PAS.
"I have no problems if all four excos are retained," he added.
The excos were severely criticised by DAP and PKR for refusing to resign in solidarity when previous MB Abdul Khalid Ibrahim sacked six PKR and DAP excos.
They had stayed on with Khalid until his final day of administration earlier this week, enabling him to continue ruling the state for over a month as an independent, following his sacking from PKR.
Selangor PAS had stated earlier that it intends to retain all the four excos. -M'kini
