PAS does not want to be caught in an akward situation should the Sultan agree to Dr Wan Azizah.
KUALA LUMPUR: PAS secretary general Mustafa Ali says PAS maintains its decision to reject Dr Wan Azizah as the new Menteri Besar (MB) of Selangor.
Speaking at a press conference at their headquarters, Mustafa said the reasons were already made known to PKR.
PAS was cautious about keeping the reasons confidential as the Islamist party did not want to be caught in an awkward situation should the Sultan suddenly change his mind and agree to accept the PKR president and Kajang ADUN as MB.
When asked of his stand on Dr Wan Azizah’s possible appointment as MB, Mustafa declined to comment.
Also present at the press conference was PAS vice president Mohamad Sabu.
