Subang MP Sivarasa Rasiah has called for the entire MRT project to be suspended pending investigations into its safety.
He said the incident that has claimed the lives of three workers yesterday is the second such case involving MRT in two months.
"Road users who frequently pass through MRT work sites should have confidence in their safety. These two incidents unfortunately do not inspire any confidence.
"Therefore until this confidence is restored through detailed reports, I urge that the work should be stopped immediately," he added in a statement today.
Following yesterday's accident, MRT Corp has already suspended all work along the Package V1 where it occurred, and its CEO Azhar Abdul Hamid has resigned today.
