Malaysian govt hoodwinking Malaysians over current situation in Middle East?

M'sian govt hoodwinking Malaysians over current situation in Middle East?
The grand misinformation over the ongoing crisis in Gaza and occupied Palestine has gone into top gear following the Zionist entity’s pounding of the strip which happens to the world’s largest open air prison.
Just imagine how the “news agencies” report the conflict. We read and hear at every news bulletin that Hamas fired dozens, even hundreds of rockets – which is continuously highlighted as the problem that has made this issue a crisis – at Zionist Israel and apparently is painted as “the cause” for Zionist Israel’s ‘security’ being threatened and then we next hear that such-and-such a number of Palestinians had been killed. So Hamas fires the rockets but Palestinians end up dead. And we are also told not a single Israeli life had been lost.
So who is victimising whom? The manner by which the western media under Zionist control report events is as if the Gazans, the Palestinians, are the rogues in the conflict for the ‘rocket fire’. But they conveniently ignore mentioning that the rockets from Gaza are in retaliation for the large-scale bombing barrage of Gaza.
Assuming that the rockets stopped coming from Gaza, would not the Zionists continue attacking Gaza? Had not they been attacking the enclave on and off for umpteen years now when from time to time they would send their warplanes to bomb “targets” supposedly to wipe out “terrorists”, a term exclusively used to describe Hamas activists? And would not these “targets” then turn out to be the homes of ordinary civilians where members of a family would be killed? This is now happening in the current offensive when at least two families have lost their entire family members due to the barbaric savagery unleashed by the forces of “the most democratic country” in the Middle East.
So that is the story of the “rockets”. So pervasive has the Zionist propaganda become over these “rockets” that the real issue of occupation, blockage, state terrorism and other atrocities committed by the Zionists has been obliterated from the narratives. The scores of Palestinians killed even before the current bombardment of Gaza has been forgotten; instead it is just about “rockets, rockets and rockets”!
Even if Hamas ceased firing rockets, it would not stop Zionist Israel from continuing to punish the Palestinians. It is not going to stop them from continuing to expropriate Palestinian land and tighten their grip on the occupation. This is what people who love peace and justice all over the world must realise and avoid being trapped in Zionist rhetoric. And most importantly, it is the firing of rockets by Hamas towards Israel that has put the Zionists in a fix hence delaying the all-out ground offensive, since these rockets have now reached almost every part of Israel and made the Zionists re-think their strategy. Remember, there have been no dead Israelis in the Hamas campaign.
While on the subject of deflecting the issue to paint the Palestinian resistance in a bad light, we must surely be shocked that even our own media – including the ones owned by Umno which purportedly supports the Palestinian cause – have extended the Zionist propaganda that Israel was under attack therefore the lop-sided attack on Gaza was ‘inevitable’. While not alluding to that directly but extracting news from “Agencies” – meaning western news agencies that have been describing the conflict - reports on the situation have painted the crisis as one where “both sides” needed to restrain themselves, something that could be read on the issue where its headlines screamed “Gaza Bleeds”. The detailed report inside simply picked up “Agency” sources that did not spell out clearly who was really responsible for the violence.
Perhaps these media were taking their cue from the official stand of the Malaysian government. On 9th July, the Minister of Foreign Affairs made this statement: “Malaysia condemns in the strongest terms the series of military strikes carried out by Israel under Operation Protective Edge. Malaysia calls on all parties to exercise restraint to avoid greater damage and loss of life…”. Then on 17th July another statement was issued by the Minister again on the issue: “Malaysia therefore urges all parties involved to refrain from any future provocative actsand calls on the international community…. It is imperative that both sides to restore calm immediately to avoid greater destruction and further loss of lives among the civilian population in the Gaza Strip”.
Now don’t we see how the BN-Umno government has placed the blame on “both parties” when actually it is the Israelis who are responsible for every incident of violence? Imagine saying “all parties” which includes the Palestinians, when it is the Palestinians who are the victims of gross injustice and tyranny ever since the establishment of the entity known as Israel back in 1948? Their lands have been stolen, they have been driven out of their own nation, have been massacred, made homeless and imprisoned as in the case of Gaza, and the Malaysian government blames them partially for “greater damage” (probably referring to some damage to Israeli areas due to the rockets), while seemingly trying to show sympathy by “condemning in the strongest terms” the airstrikes by Israel.
Is this done to maintain the clandestine relations Malaysia has with Israel as exposed by the Israeli Bureau of Trade that Malaysia has trading relations with that entity despite officially not having any diplomatic relations? -HARAKAHDAILY
