Keep flying, Malaysia Airlines! – Kauselya Muniandy

The double tragedies in a short span of 4 months is not fair to our country. MAS is suffering a horrible fate.

Millions of Malaysians, together with others around the world, mourn with Malaysia Airlines (MAS) as all of us trying to come into terms with the unbearable pain and grief that surrounds the twin tragedies of MH370 and MH17.
It would be interesting to see how many other nations ban their aircraft from using this route. In the past week, it is alleged, three aircraft belonging to the Ukrainian forces have been shot down by missiles originating from Russian territory. European flight path regulators revealed that about 400 commercial flights, including 150 international flights, crossed eastern Ukraine daily before MH17 was shot down on Thursday night.
So is there any truth in the allegation that Malaysia Airlines had ignored warnings to avoid Ukrainian airspace?
There are still many Malaysians who believe in MAS, even though we may be the minority now. We believe in MAS as we are proud of our diversity, confident of our identity, and generous in our contributions to the betterment of the world.
We cannot deny that there will be uncertain times ahead for MAS and its employees. There will be difficult decisions to make, and MAS may even need to painfully restructure or reinvent its organisation.
At times, it will seem easier to just throw the words. But whatever it may be, please know that there are many who will still stand by the national carrier. We should not turn our backs on MAS who has made us proud to be Malaysian.
In my own terms, "standing with you" means that we will continue to fly with you whenever we can.
This is our country where irrespective of our race and colour, we work for the betterment of our country.
I believe that there are many Malaysians who will join me in supporting MAS.
Keep flying, Malaysia Airlines!
