Nazri not the liability, the whole BN is

YOURSAY 'There aren't any clean fishes in the corrupt Umno pond. The falling out among thieves has surely begun.'

JMM says Nazri may be a political liability

your sayNot Confused: It is not just de facto law minister Nazri Abdul Aziz who is a political liability, it is the entire BN regime that is a major liability to the future of the whole country.

Every day, further situations, incidents and disclosures of past misdeeds are hammering nails, one by one, into the coffin of the BN junta.

Ipohcrite: There aren't any clean fishes in the corrupt Umno pond. Jaringan Melayu Malaysia (JMM) chief Azwanddin Hamzah speaks as if he is a novice.

Or has he got an ulterior motive like promoting himself to be drafted into the Umno ranks? The falling out among thieves has surely begun.

Ex-wfw: How come only Nazri is a liability, and not Umno Wanita chief Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, the chief ministers of Sarawak and Sabah, the menteri besar of Negeri Sembilan and many other ministers?

Why is it that only Nazri has to go? Now they even talk of national security and dignity. What dignity?

Bootsie: I would not call it a political liability. It is more a political suicide for the entire team, which has lost all credibility in the eyes of the world.

Ferdtan: As I have said before, Nazri has his enemies both within and outside of Umno due to his brashness.

The moment former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad joins in the salvos which has been started by the pro-Umno JMM, the end of Nazri's political career may be sooner than later.

Mahathir may forget easily when it suits him, but never an insult. And Nazri had once openly insulted him by calling him names.

Mohd Mazlan Khamis: As Mahathir said Nazri should have been kicked out long ago. He is a liability alright. In fact, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) should thoroughly investigate him and his family.

Anonymous_40c3: JMM said, "...but we emphasise more on security and sovereignty of Parliament and the country."

Do they actually understand the meaning of these words when every convention on accountability and parliamentary debate has been ignored by BN parliamentarians?

Abasir: "The minister who oversees corruption cases must have a clean image and is respected," said JMM.

And we know that Nazri has neither a clean image nor respect. So what is Umno going to do about it? Field him as an almost winnable candidate?

Anonymous #75854042: JMM, you can say that Nazri is a political liability, but that doesn't mean that Pakatan Rakyat uses this issue as political blackmail.

If Azwanddin thinks that what Nazri has done is absolutely wrong, write to the PM and ask Nazri to be relieved of his post. You don't have to link it to Suaram, national security and sovereignty.

Mushiro: What does Azwanddin mean by 'political blackmail'? If Nazri is corrupt and involved in a conflict of interest situation then he is as guilty as all the corrupt leaders in Umno.

This is not political blackmail - this is highlighting corruption and misrule. Umno is the one who is more guilty of 'political blackmail'.

Asamko: JMM, it's absurd to say that PKR strategic director Rafizi Ramli's 'expose' is political blackmail.
You should blame government institutions such as MACC, Attornery-General's Chmabers and the police for their failure to address these high-profile cases effectively.

Corrupt practices, especially in high office, if left unchecked will ultimately bring down a nation, causing untold suffering to its people.

Anonymous_3ec6: Now that the pro-Umno NGOs know that BN is sinking, they want to jump, just like rats abandoning a sinking ship.

Anonymous #58437020: I wonder if Nazri has bought a cane to wallop the son who has brought him shame.

Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Nazri probably thought he was untouchable. Allah is great, let's see if He serves those who serves themselves and their families.

Our current leaders have large appetites and from the amount that has been depleted from the country's coffers, they would all be obese by now.

Malaysia has been raped and plundered by our very own. Honestly, we are no better than the leaders of the nations in the African and the South American continent.

Apa Ini?: Smart move, Azwanddin. We wonder who might be pulling the strings, though.

But why aren't you people crying out for action against timber trader Michael Chia? If anyone knows, he is equally guilty of corruption, no? - Malaysiakini
